State Champs
We held the QLD State Championships for Over 35 and 55 men last weekend. Thanks to Denis, Sylvia and team, Kath and Ray for all your help.
Our 35's finished 3rd and all enjoyed them selves and hopefully they are all back next year. The 55's finished 3rd as well and were unlucky not to play in the grand final. Bob Tindale and Noel Condon were selected in the QLD over 65 teams. Rick Hewitson was player of the tournament for over 55's. Most pleasing was that Garry Scholes, Ray Dooley, Brian Springfield were rewarded Advanced Umpiring badges and Carl Johnston maintained his Senior Badge, Well done men it's great to see we have some very good umpires around. Also Paul Newman umpired a couple of games and is now going to the Over 40 Men QLD state champs. Good to see you back Paul

Any U18 girls wishing to try out for the Rep team to participate at the Championships in Toowoomba this year, are to have their name and date of birth into the office by the (21st of April) now 28 April 2008

Coaches Open Forum is open to all Junior, Senior, Men’s, and Women’s coaches, Mums and Dads who would like to help coach.

The aim of the Forum is for the Regional Coaching Director (RCD) to meet all coaches and to obtain the following information

• What level coaches would like to have
• Which coaches would like to coach rep teams in the future
• What support coaches would like
• To Start Coach Database
• To Start Coach Information Exchange
• Which information coaches would like to see in Hockey Library
• Group work shop
